    Texas Bobwhite Brigade Summer Camps

    The Chapter continued to support the Texas Bobwhite Brigade summer camps by making a $3,000 donation that was matched 1 to 1 by the Alkek Foundation through the Texas Brigade Challenge Grant. This allowed 15 youth to attend the summer camp for free where they learned animal anatomy, behavior, botany, nutrition, habitat management, polulation dynamics, etc....

  • Armand Bayou Nature Center Prairie Pandemonium Sponsor

    Armand Bayou Nature Center Prairie Pande

    The Chapter was a sponsor and hosted a table at Armand Bayou Nature Center's Prairie Pandemonium, an event to restore the tall grass prairie, a critical native habitat.  ABNC volunteers grew thousands of pots of locally rare native grass at the nature center for transplantation into the prairie preserve and 115 volunteers from all over the area planted 3,250 pots Continue Reading...
